Crescent River Port Pilots Orders two Boats

news-details

Seattle shipbuilder Snow Boat Building has been awarded a contract to build two Camarc Design 50-foot pilot boats for the Crescent River Port Pilots’ Association in Louisiana.

These all-aluminum vessels boast enhanced fuel efficiency and excellent seakeeping capabilities utilising our refined hull design, as well as our pilot-specific popsure fender system to ensure safe boarding operations. With twin Volvo Penta D13-800 EPA Tier 3 marine diesel engines and twin Hamilton Jet HJ403 waterjets, these boats will be able to manoeuvre with high performance and reach a top speed of 35 knots.

The boats will be tasked with safely guiding billions of dollars of precious cargo in and out of one of the largest river ports in the world.
